Doctor Who in Spain

A couple of weeks ago BBC Doctor Who were filming just 45 mins away from where I live.

Part of Series 7 is filmed Western Style.

It was filmed in Tabernas Fort Bravo where a lot of the spaghetti western films were filmed. 

Thougt I'd share with you these images of Matt Smith and Karen Gillan on set.

Beach Sandals

I spotted these sandals which were reduced! 

I could'nt not get them since they were more than half price hehe.

From 30 Euros to 15 Euros. Bargain!

Ideal for beach wear. They are made from leather and are super comfortable.

There were lots of other colours to choose from, brown, pink, red and black.

Most of the shoes i have purchased in Spain have been from Salvador Artesano.

Summer Sandals

Yesterday i purchased Sandals for summer.

It´s probably to early to even think about buying sandals in England.

Since the temperatures in Spain have been getting warmer by the day i thought it necessary to purchase some sandals!

I love the silver balls along the front strap.

I chose black because it goes with everything and there weren't any other colours to choose from.

At a price of 22,90 Euros (Reduced from 35 Euros) Bargain!

They are really comfortable and since they are smart/casual i can wear them for work.

Happy Old Woman's Day

Happy Dìa de la Vieja (The old Woman's day) haha.

Celebrated in Spain, the first Thursday in Lent, end of March.

Every Día de la Vieja the Spanish take to the countryside to Picnic in large groups with family and friends.

Traditionally they take with them a hand-made paper doll (Old Lady) stuffed with sweets.

Children than stone it until the sweets are revealed. Yes it sounds very strange! haha.

Just like a Piñata used at childrens parties.
Here's mine hehe!

I am currently wearing Modern Blues Trio Eye Shadow.

I have been wearing this a lot lately.

 It's easy to apply!

On the back of the box there are some guidelines if you want to get that London Look!

There are a variety of colours to choose from in this range.

I also purchased Orion to compliment Blue Eyes. (Light beige, beige and dark brown)

On the above picture i used the dark brown to enhance my eyebrows.

 Hit the Streets
Take this message offline and into the real world. Slap a sticker on your phone, laptop, bike, or car. Download a PDF of the posters for free. Confidently ask businesses and cities to place these posters in prominent, high-traffic locations. Remember: be respectful and only put KONY 2012 materials on your own property unless you have explicit permission. #KONY2012

 Engage Your Policymakers
Our elected leaders have the power to take action and they have before because of you. But it's time for them to renew their commitment to bringing a permanent end to LRA violence. Tell them why this is important to you, and ask them what they can do to see Kony arrested and help those affected. Find the contact info for your senators and representatives, and hit them up. Here are some ways you can get in touch:

• Write a letter by hand and drop it in the mail
• Email, Facebook, and Tweet them
• Call their offices
• Schedule a face-to-face meeting

Contact your Members of Congress Crash Course

• Find out who your members of Congress are and their contact info. Google is your friend. If you live in the U.S., you have 1 representative and 2 senators.
• It's easier than you think. Their job is to listen to what you care about. Just ask them what they are doing to stop LRA violence and help affected communities.
• Be yourself--speak from the heart. There are no "wrong" words when you're talking about why this issue is important to you. And be nice--your words will carry more weight. 

Dig Deeper

We can all agree that the LRA needs to be stopped. But achieving that simple goal is actually very complicated, and it's our responsibility to be informed activists. Below is some information and resources to start with:

Current LRA Activity

• The LRA has not been active in Uganda since 2006, but they're currently carrying out attacks in DR Congo, Central African Republic, and South Sudan.
• 1,012 people have been killed and 2,224 people abducted since December 1, 2009.
• 45 people were abducted in February 2012. The LRA Crisis Tracker has the most current updates about LRA activity.
• 440,000 were displaced by the LRA in CAR, DRC, and South Sudan as of August 2011.

• Read a report from Human Rights Watch's Anneke Van Woudenberg
• Read testimonies from recent LRA victims in DR Congo that were printed in Nicholas Kristof's column in the New York Times.

I thought i'd show you my daily make-up routine, i will do a make up tutorial soon!

Before i apply my make-up i always use Olay Beauty Fluid. I use it every morning after washing my face.

I find that if i don't use it my face feels dry and tight.

Usually i start of by using Garnier Anti-Dark Circles. As i stated yesterday it's something i could'nt live without. Please read my article yesterday about Garnier Anti-Dark Circles.

After applying Garnier Anti-Dark Circles i than rub in Maybelline Dream Satin Fluid Foundation. It's available in different shades depending on ones skin colour. 

I use Light Porcelain!

I also like to use a powder after applying the Fluid Foundation. It's not necessary but i like to give my face an extra bit of colour. Today I used a Spanish make Deliplus, Champagne colour.

I than apply a blusher, Deliplus, Pink!

After applying the foundation, today i used Rimmel London Glam Eyes True Union Jack.

I purchased this from Boots (London Gatwick) when i last flew back from England.

I will do a Make up tutorial on this soon!

 

Mascara, Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Black.

I haven't been to happy with this product as it's always clumpy. Every time i apply mascara i end up with a clump. On the box it came in it says NO CLUMPS!

I personally would'nt recommend buying this. 

 

 Than last but not least i use KATE MOSS Lasting finish lipstick.

This is currently my favourite lipstick!

I use Nº3 Rossetto, neutral pink colour.

I recommend you try KATE MOSS Lipstick collection!

It´s available in different colours.

Waking up every morning and looking in the mirror to find dark circles under my eyes :(

My Secret, Garnier Caffeine Anti Dark Circles Roll On.

Easy to apply with a coolling roller ball, i could'nt live without it!

It's something i would recommend for those awful mornings after a heavy night out :)

I use it daily every morning when i apply makeup. It's easy to use, in circular massaging motions apply onto the under eye area, from the inside towards the temples. Than rub in with your fingertips to cover all areas.

Up to 7 days wear.

My current favourite nail varnish would be the Maybelline Forever Stong up to 7 days wear.

Although i find that not all the colours wear up to 7 days!

The colours i purchased recently were the above, NUDE ROSE 135, DEEP RED 06 and FLAMINGO PINK.

I am currently wearing NUDE ROSE.

NUDE ROSE always wears better, it seems to last me a lot longer.

DEEP RED always chips and it never wears very well.

Am i the only one that feels that way about DEEP RED?

As you can see from the above picture NUDE ROSE wears well!

Navy Blue Pumps For Spring

Since the temperatures in Spain have gone up to 20ºC my feet were feeling hot in ordinary pumps.

So the other day i purchased a pair of pumps with air holes, to give my feet some breathing space hehe.

I am always wearing pumps as they are easy to wear and are ideal for work.

 I highly recommend a pair of shoes similar to these for when the temperature heats up.

Hi + Welcome to AllSorts

I have been wanting to create a blog for a while now, having been inspired by other bloggers. The name AllSorts, i thought was quite appropriate as i could'nt decide on a specific subject to talk about. But look out for fashion news and outfits, make-up tutorials, travel images, my 12 cats (yes, that's 12 hehe) and beach life as i moved to Spain from England with my parents, and i seem to spend a lot of my time during the summer on the beach. So i look forward to sharing the things i love and my life with you!
